Life Cycle Engineering, Inc. (LCE), (www.LCE.com) a privately held large business company, incorporated in Charleston, SC on October 21, 1976. LCE is headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina with over 300 employees’ nation-wide with the majority located near major U.S. Navy bases, as well as offices at government client sites. LCE engineers, technicians, logisticians and analysts provide technical support for virtually every shipboard system including HM&E systems, naval communications, combat systems, structure and outfitting. Combining total system engineering knowledge with exposure to shipboard maintenance issues, LCE provides real time solutions and recommendations to both Navy engineering activities and commands responsible for shipboard maintenance. LCE is a NAVSEA approved AIT installer. LCE has been providing quality technical services to NSWCCD-SSES continuously for the past 15 years, providing engineering and technical support to various NSWCCD-SSES technical codes in all phases of a ship’s and submarine’s life cycles. Current tasking includes: electrical engineering support; in-service electrical system analysis, waterfront repair; on-site technical support in Codes 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, and 96; aircraft elevator R&D support; crane maintenance support; ICAS development and implementation; HVAC technical assistance; command-wide software development; life cycle cost analysis; equipment design, modification, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and repair; maintenance effectiveness analysis; training research and application; instrumentation design, development and testing; and data management. In support of this contract, LCE will utilize one wholly owned subsidiary, Life Cycle Services (LCS). LCS brings specialized, high level consulting services to public and private shipyards and is an integral part of the U.S. Navy’s Enterprise Resource Program.
